
Our Story
At the heart of Orenda Retreat is a shared journey—one rooted in growth, resilience, and the power of connection. Nine years ago, we, Kelly and Jules, met through a mutual friend, quickly forming a bond that grew as we raised our young children side by side. Both of us arrived on this path from profoundly personal places and together, we discovered that our stories, though different, were united by a common thread—a deep desire to rewild our spirits and create a space where others can do the same.

Combining Kelly’s expertise in yoga, sound healing, and women’s circles with Jules’ mentorship in feminine embodiment, energy work and somatic healing, we crafted a holistic program designed to nurture and reawaken emotional and physical well-being. Our workshops and retreats are more than just events; they are sanctuaries—places where women come together in sisterhood to find peace, connection and empowerment. Surrounded by serene natural beauty, our guests draw inspiration from the environment and from each other’s stories.

Kelly Hillard
Kelly knows firsthand the toll of living life in the fast lane. Once a high-flying private jet manager, she grappled with anxiety and burnout before finding solace and transformation through yoga. Trading the high-pressure world of luxury aviation for the tranquil countryside, Kelly now lives in rural Scotland, where she guides others on their own journeys to inner peace and balance.

With over 15 years of yoga practice and more than 1,000 hours of training around the world, Kelly has honed her craft as a teacher, sound healer, and women’s wellness host. She is the proud owner of Orenda Studios in Scotland, where she curates bespoke experiences that honour the uniqueness of each participant. Kelly’s intuitive approach ensures that every class, circle, or retreat is tailored to the individual energies present, creating a deeply personal experience.

Jules Theis
Jules turned her own journey of healing into a mission to support other women. After enduring a traumatic birth experience, she emerged with a passion for helping women navigate their own paths to balance and empowerment. As an Integrative Somatic Practitioner, Jules guides women in releasing stress, trauma, and buried emotions through meditation, journaling, and body movement. Her work is deeply rooted in compassion, resilience, and a commitment to fostering connection.

Jules thrives on creating spaces where meaningful conversations and personal growth flourish. She holds space to provide opportunities for women to deepen their self-connection in stunning and restorative locations. With her warmth and wisdom, Jules inspires participants to dive within and expand their inner worlds, to embrace transformation.
